I have grown up my entire life watching and learning about Type Design from two of the greatest women in the world, my mom and grandmother. They have watched them apply Type Design to pretty much everything and anything. The most common place to find Type Design would be on old cover-art, such as record sleeves all the way down to event poster.

It all starts when the pencil meets the paper.
It’s not the most common approach to design in design agencies. There are even people out there that think the computer has the same rendering abilities as a good old pencil and paper. Sorry to say but if this is your approach to design then you are failing from the get go. I have a strong passion for sketching, doodling, and drawing along with anything hand-crafted. At the same time I know how to utilize the power of my computer also.
Taking the time to just doodle is a big part of my day I feel it really allows all of the creative elements get a jump start.
